Credit Scoring

A statistical system used to determine whether or not to grant credit by assigning numerical scores to various characteristics related to creditworthiness. One such system is the FICO score. Late payments, judgments, liens, balances, and debt ratios all play a part in the credit scoring system. Lenders utilize a credit scoring system to rate borrowers in determining if they qualify for loans.
